The Bahamas>>The islands of the Bahamas are well-established tourist destinations with striving economies. Some of the larger islands have also grown into major business centers. Foremost is Grand Bahama with the city of Freeport and its 230 square mile free trade zone. Caribe Engineering provided engineering support for
contractors Carmela Dredging Inc. and United Contractors Corporation.
Projects included deepening of dry docks and sections of the container
port, maintenance dredging for Martin Marietta, Bradford Marine, and
BORCO, the Bahamas Oil Refinery Company.  |
